Are We Living in the Revelation?
Are We Living in the Revelation? A Biblical Look at Today’s World
By: Omotayo Bello | TWOBS
For centuries, the Book of Revelation has fascinated, warned, and inspired believers with its vivid visions and prophetic warnings. Today, many Christians are asking an urgent question:
“Are we already living the revelation foretold in the Bible?”
In this blog, we will explore this question from a biblical perspective, examining world events, spiritual signs, and the hope that still shines through the darkness.

π Global Events Mirror Biblical Prophecy
Revelation is filled with symbolic language—horses, trumpets, beasts, and seals—that describe future events. As we look around the world today, we see patterns that align closely with these prophecies.
1. Wars and Conflicts: The Red Horse Rides
> “Another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth...” – Revelation 6:4
From wars in Ukraine and the Middle East to global tensions between superpowers, the spirit of war and violence continues to shake the earth.
2. Plagues and Pandemics: The Pale Horse of Death
> “I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death...” – Revelation 6:8
The COVID-19 pandemic, Ebola outbreaks, and rising health crises remind many of the pestilences foretold. Diseases spreading across nations at lightning speed have awakened many spiritually.
3. Natural Disasters: Earth Crying Out
> “There came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.” – Revelation 11:19
Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and extreme weather seem to grow stronger each year, pointing to birth pains (Matthew 24:7-8) and signs from heaven.
4. Moral Decline and Spiritual Coldness
> “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money... disobedient to their parents, unholy…” – 2 Timothy 3:2
Social media glorifies vanity, sexual immorality is celebrated, and truth is mocked. Many hearts have grown cold (Matthew 24:12), and good is called evil while evil is praised.
5. The Rise of Global Control and the “Beast System”
> “It also forced all people... to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads...” – Revelation 13:16
With the rapid rise of digital currencies, global surveillance systems, and push for biometric IDs, concerns grow about a future one-world system that could mirror the “mark of the beast.”

⏳ What Time Is It?
Many Christians believe we are living in the “last days”, a prophetic window described throughout Scripture. But one truth remains clear:
> God exists outside of time. He knows the beginning from the end. (Isaiah 46:10)
He has not left us in the dark—He has given us Revelation not to fear, but to prepare and to hope.

π️ Revelation Is Not Just Doom—It’s a Love Letter of Victory
Revelation is not only about judgment, but also about redemption, glory, and a new beginning:
Jesus will return as the King of kings (Revelation 19:11–16)
Evil will be defeated forever (Revelation 20:10)
God will wipe away every tear (Revelation 21:4)
A new heaven and new earth will be established (Revelation 21:1)
This is the hope that believers cling to.

π₯ What Should You Do?
If we are living in prophetic times, here’s how to respond:
1. Repent and Turn to God
Make your life right with Christ. Don’t delay. The time is short (Revelation 22:10–12).
2. Stay Spiritually Awake
> “If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief...” – Revelation 3:3
Live with your heart alert and your faith active. Don’t fall asleep in sin.
3. Share the Gospel
The Great Commission still stands (Matthew 28:19–20). Spread the truth in love—souls are waiting.
4. Live in Holiness and Truth
> “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life...” – Revelation 22:14
God is calling His people to live separate from the world. Be holy as He is holy.
5. Fear Not
> “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer...” – Revelation 2:10
No matter what comes, remember: Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

π Final Thought
You are not a mistake. You were born for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).
God chose you to stand, to shine, and to declare His truth in the last days.
Let your life be a living testimony of God’s power in a world headed toward Revelation’s final chapters.
