In Yoruba, one of the rich languages of Africa, He is called “Oba Aleshe” – The King Who Never Fails.

God’s Unchanging Faithfulness

The Bible consistently reveals God as faithful and unshakable. His promises are not like human promises that sometimes break. His words stand the test of time.

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19).


Every generation can look back and see how God has kept His covenant of love. From Abraham, to David, to the apostles, to us today, His track record is flawless. Truly, He is Oba Aleshe.

Through the Storms of Life

Many of us face challenges that test our faith—sickness, financial struggles, broken relationships, or moments of loneliness. It’s easy to wonder if God sees us or hears our prayers. Yet Scripture assures us:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” (Isaiah 43:2).


The promise is not that we won’t face troubles, but that the King who never fails will always walk with us through them.

Jesus, the Fulfillment of Oba Aleshe

God’s greatest demonstration of His unfailing love was sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise again, giving us eternal life. In Christ, every promise of God finds its “Yes” and “Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Jesus never abandoned His disciples, and He will never abandon us. He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one. His love is constant, His mercy new every morning.
